The Workshop
Where the farm's problems get an ESP32 and a 3D printer pointed at them. Built for dust, heat and bad signal, because that is what we have.
Things we build
Mostly for ourselves. Sometimes for you, if the timing works.
Sensor and automation nodes
ESP32 boards for microclimate, water levels, pumps and gates. Offline first, self-hosted, and no reliance on anyone else's servers.
3D-printed parts
Functional parts and fixtures, printed slowly on purpose. Tell us the job and we will suggest a material.
Small sites and systems
Lightweight static websites, private wikis and the odd self-hosted system for small operations that dislike subscriptions.
Which plastic?
We print in four. Here is the honest version.
Indoors, shelves, prototypes. Softens near 60 °C, so not on a bakkie dashboard in January.
Tougher and more heat tolerant. Good general-purpose farm and workshop parts.
Outdoors. Handles sun and heat far better. Our pick for anything left in the veld.
Flexible parts such as seals and bumpers. Still learning this one, so we will say so.
