Our flock operates as a highly organized, multi-tier system tailored to the specific agricultural realities of the Karoo. We maintain a versatile structure that addresses distinct operational tiers simultaneously: robust commercial meat production, simple, high-vitality breeding ewes, and an elite genetic core.
Our Dorper sheep operation is run as a dedicated partnership with Mark and Danica. We combine our physical infrastructure and daily oversight with their specialized livestock expertise to ensure every animal under our collective watch meets demanding standards of confirmation, adaptation, and vitality.
Monitored Lifecycle & T5 Genetics
We choose a more active, mindful approach over unmanaged grazing. As sheep, instinctive grazers, our flock does not wander blindly. Instead, we carefully coordinate their movements to ensure steady nutritional consistency while supporting ecosystem development and keeping their footprint perfectly light. This close guidance also keeps them completely safe from the local predators that we welcome into our surrounding wilderness. Under our constant care, it becomes a balanced loop of safety, precise nutrition, and ecosystem harmony where the flock remains secure, comfortable, and thriving.
At the center of our development pipeline sits our premium genetic core, anchored by a top-tier, graded T5 stud ram (Karoo) alongside selected T5 and great production ewes. This elite tier allows us to lock in exceptional carcass traits, superior shedding qualities, and deep environmental resilience, transferring these proven assets directly down to our commercial lines.
